I've been sick for
almost a month. It started out simple and progressed to 24 hour
bed rest. I'm just starting to recuperate, but it'll be weeks
before I'm fully recovered. This sickness literally sucked the
life right out of me and punched me into a downward spiral of
depression that felt like death.
Being sick sucks.
I'm afraid of sickness, afraid to be too close to anyone, afraid
to eat anything that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned and reheated
to kill any germs to which the delivery person might have accidentally
exposed my food.
If I don't fully recover and relax,
I'll need mental help soon. Of course, I know a few people that
would argue I already need mental help, but don't we all?
So, anyway, on Tuesday, I get an e-mail asking me if I want to go
to the Geneva Motor Show, as a guest of GM, all expenses paid of
course, to witness a few GM world debuts in Geneva, Switzerland and,
thanks to my hell of sickness, I had to decline the invitation.
Now, I hate flying. Going to the Detroit Auto Show from LA is bad
enough, crunched up in those little seats. But sometimes you have
to suffer a little, I mean this is fricken Europe -f ree - cool
cars, beautiful city, good material, contacts, my god, what more
incentive do you need?
I'll be thinking about that when I make some posts at Hybridcarblog.com
about the Geneva Auto Show in less than 2 weeks - from home - thinking about
how I could've been going to the Auto Show all day, and partying
all night in Geneva, Switzerland.
Thank the sick gods!
