Rate your Palm Centro

Great phone for the price

I just picked up a Palm Centro. It's not the phone I really wanted. I wanted an iPhone-like cell phone that allows access to the file structure, which Apple does not allow. Good old Apple - always so proprietary!

Anyway, I'm thinking about the Voyager, but I'm on Sprint and I don't want to switch just yet, so I thought I'd give the Centro a try. I've only had it a couple of days and I've only tapped into a tiny bit of its functionality. Yesterday, however, I watched the Packer-Cowboy game on my phone while out running errands - the screen on the phone is beautiful. Thus, I've decided I will give this phone a full work out and really see what it can do.

I can't wait to start using the voice controls, particularly doing things like dictating e-mails and Palm docs, etc, via the voice add-on application. Aside from not having a cool phone browser like Safari, I think I could fall in love with this phone. We'll see.

Does a UFO sighting make one crazy?

So what if Dennis Kucinich saw a UFO

According to a new book by Shirley MacLaine, Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich saw a UFO while visiting MacLaine that profoundly affected his life.

So what!?

Several years ago I had a UFO experience. Because of that experience I am absolutely convinced that either aliens are real, or that the US military has spaceships that are far, far superior to those in the space shuttle program.

Nonetheless, those commenting on the Kucinich article act as if a sighting somehow makes Kucinich a nutcase. Perhaps, Kucinich is a nutcase, but seeing a UFO does not make one crazy.

Rate your UFO experiences. Also, does seeing a UFO make a person crazy?

Scientists too close to playing god?

Genetic engineering, weather manipulation: Too far?

Soon, scientists will begin testing methods that could steer hurricanes and make them weaker (more). Are scientists going too far?

Genetic engineering has already greatly affected food production and will almost certainly have a huge effect on the evolution of humans.

Is this good, or bad? Is it human destiny?
