Bad job review? What should you do?

Is it you or your boss?

O.K. Your boss gave you a bad review. The experts say, stay calm, reassess your review, try to improve communications with your boss, and make a plan for improvement.

I say nonsense, unless you really like your job and your boss.

Too many bosses just are not very good managers in the first place, nor are they competent at their job. Even worse, too many bosses play favorites - too often its all office politics. Unless, you love your job and your boss, then a bad review is the first sign that it's time to leave your job - one way or another things simply are not working.

Kissing the ass of a bad boss is simply going to make life more miserable.

Should you swear more at work?

Are you a good social swearer?

"Yehuda Baruch, a management professor at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, U.K., and graduate student Stuart Jenkins found that "apparent misbehavior can serve an organization well." Taboo language, they said, can manifest itself in solidarity that helps create a much more pleasurable and productive place to work."(more)

Anyway, if you're a little concerned about the possibility of being fired, check out these 8 signs. If more than 3 apply to you, then its probably time to start tacking action.
