Lies and deception - Customer service at Best BuyI buy quite a bit of electronics from Best Buy. Recently, I bought a small camera to carry around in my pocket when a bigger camera wasn't feasible. Since it was a business expense, I decided to purchase the $30.00 warranty, mostly because the sales woman told me that if anything went wrong, Best Buy would simply replace the camera.
Well, the camera isn't working. Yet, when I took it into Best Buy in Pasadena, California, the Geek Squad rep told me there would be a 12 day turn around as this was a 'service contract' not a 'replacement' contract.
Thus, the salesperson simply lied to me, probably because I'm guessing she received some kind of bonus for this outright fraud. Finish:
