Green deodorants reviewed - Rate yours

Good for your skin, good for the environment.

So, I've been testing different natural, green deodorants for a very long time.

As luck would have it, I wear green deodorant not because I'm a green fanatic, but because I have no choice. Conventional deodorants are just too harsh on my sensitive skin.

Community organizer equals black?

Rate the stupidity

According to Gov. David Paterson of NY, 'community organizer' is a code word for 'black'.

The evidence Patterson uses is the Sarah Palin speech, "So I suppose a small town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except with real responsibilities," she said at the convention.

Do actors affect your politics and voting?

Do you buy into Hollywood?

OK. We all want to be famous. We all want to be rich. Thus, we become obsessed with people that are famous, which is usually synonymous with being rich. Yet, so much of Hollywood is filled with insiders. And, even if you do get it in. Even if you make it, what does that really mean?

Would you pay a few bucks more for green paint?

No more headaches

Green paint is quickly becoming a big hit. For just a few dollars more per gallon, depending on brand -a price destined to disappear with economies of scale - you can pick any number of green paints, such as Home Depot's Freshaire.

These green paints offer few or no volatile compounds, which contribute to both health problems and smog. Just as important, according to experts, green paints provide performance this is as good, or even better, than conventional paints.

Should the Driving Age be increased?

Rate this idea

Because car crashes are the leading teenage killer, Adrian Lund, president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, a research group funded by the auto insurance industry, believes that raising the legal age to drive from 16 to 17, or even 18, could possibly save thousands of lives every year, according to the AP.

What do you think of the new Chevy Volt?

The real deal

No more fiber glass replicas. This is the real Chevy Volt, which I think looks far better than the original concept. I'm sure some will be disappointed that it no longer looks like an electric sports car, but I think GM nailed this vehicle.

Street art on my grocery store

The way to sell meat and produce?

Would you visit a grocery store with this kind of branding?

I would. You know they probably have good ranchera preparada, or carne asada. Plus, you can't beat some good chorizo for breakfast.

Anyway, is it a good idea to have street artists and graffiti artists help brand your company, even if you live in an urban neighborhood? Or does such branding inevitably bring rival taggers?

Can this kind of graffiti make you famous?

Or just dead?

Now we're famous, well, at least to the kids walking this block home from Franklin High School, but does that really make you famous? What's the allure?

Listen, taggers, if you want to get famous tagging up the streets with your crew's tag, make it cool. Put some art, some effort into it. This isn't art!
