Oil futures torching the economy

Oil futures topped $140 per barrel today for the first time ever. And as if the news couldn't get worse, a new CIBC study suggests that oil will hit $200 per barrel by 2010, equating to $7.00 per gallon gas.

Warren Buffett, an open advocate for Barrack Obama, was on CNBC this morning, where he called windfall profit taxes on oil companies a very bad idea. Democrats and Barrack Obama have been big supporters of a windfall profit tax on oil companies, but Buffett thinks its a bad idea. So, I'm assuming all the talk coming out of the Democratic Party is just rhetoric. Read more about Warren Buffett talks oil.

I'm a hop head, which means IPA's. One of the best is Anderson Valley Brewing Company's Hop 'Ottin IPA, possibly the hoppiest IPA I've ever tasted. The other day I picked up a 6-pack and their bottle cap states that the brewery is now solar powered. Powered by green energy, what more can you ask for? More on Anderson Valley.

Ok, I admit that I was certain that the Lakers would win last night. But, there isn't anything to worry about yet for Laker fans. I remember Phil Jackson coaching the Bulls to series wins after being down 0 - 2.

Palm versus Windows

Man, I hate getting old, its just not as easy to learn things. I had built my mobile life around the Palm Centro, but the keyboard was just to small for me. So, now Im using the Mogul, which uses the Windows OS. Everything is fricken different, hopefully this awesome keyboard makes it worth it.
