Just lovin the healthcare system

Urgent care?

So, I'm waiting for urgent care, as I have now been for a few hours - I guess its not that urgent. Anyway, I'm certain to be here for a few more hours, since everyone else seems to also need urgent care today!

Funny how some girl got ahead of me just because she was crying over a sprained ankle. I'm friggen dying here. What a faker.

I feel like a top male model today! Dazed and confused! OK, I'm feeling a little bit lost. I look around and the world seems so stupid.

Alright, now that I got that out of my system, how is your day going?

Rate your drunk face

Ok, I'm not totally drunk

So, I wasn't even going to go out tonight, but I did. Anyway if I were really drunk, I wouldn't even be able to write this message. So, I'm only drunk, not really drunk.

So, is your drunk face, better than mine?

Friday

I'm heading to happy hour

It's friday and I ain't got no job, so i'm gonna smoke.....i mean go to happy hour. Ok I do have a job, but that's how I feel right now.

It's Friday. The Laker game is on - even though I'm not a huge laker fan. Still, gotta support the home team.

Green shopping at Macys, again

Any better this time around?

I've green shopped Macy's in the past, and about the best I could find was some bamboo socks. Now, bamboo socks are cool, but just socks?

Anyway, the other day I heard about Macy's new green line of clothes, so I thought I would check out my local Macys.

What a disappointment! Now Macys has socks and a few organic cotton t-shirts - that's it. Wow! Talk about greenwashing.

Macys might be a fine place to shop, but not if you care about the environment. Of course Macys is far from alone in terms of green shopping flops.

Hopefully, I can get a woman's perspective on green shopping at Macy's before I completely lay down the hammer.

Champions league soccer madness

The scene at Lucky Baldwins

Soccer fans or football fans, depending where you are from, are going crazy here at Lucky Baldwins in Pasadena, Ca.

t's a beautiful thing, except it doesn't look like I'll be eating any fish and chips.

My life

Fricken tired

So, I'm at one of those points in life when it seems like every problem solved isn't even solved before there are already several more problems to solve.

Lately, fricken computer problems are driving me completely crazy.

So, that's my life these days - nothing but a problem solver.

Anyway I'm on my to watch a soccer game, at least enough of the game for a quick drink and some fish and chips. Then its back home so I can yell at my computer some more.

Anyway, rate your day

SAVE $$$$$: Do you negotiate when you shop retail?

Do you always ask for a deal?

Do you always try to bargain when you shop, to negotiate for a cheaper price? Over the years I've read a number of articles claiming that you can try to negotiate the price of almost anything. It doesn't matter whether you are at Macy's or some small local boutique, most retailers are willing to negotiate, so goes the argument.

I have to admit, I don't often think to bargain, but the few times I've tried to bargain, I've gotten a better price almost every single time.

Had any success negotiating prices for your favorite retail fashions? Rate negotiating when shopping for retail.

Time for Hillary Clinton to quit?

Should she stay or should she go?

Barrack Obama is not a perfect candidate for President, but he has had momentum. Obama has also inspired hope for change in many. And, let's just be honest, he is the most outside-of-the-box of the mainstream candidates.

Then there is Hillary Clinton and her tears, her million dollar loans to herself and her completely nonsensical gas tax holiday. And today, according to DrudgeReport, Democratic superdelegates are avoiding her like the plague. Isn't it time to accept defeat?

Rate Hillary Clinton's Campaign for the Presidency: Has she gone too far, or is she fighting the good fight?

Strawing our way to free liquor

There's Barry's straw trying to steal some liquor on Cinco de Mayo at the 35er for he and I. Too bad Deb had to break the straw - seriously, Jeanine.

Green shopping at JCPennys

Some real green at JCPennys

I thought I'd check out JCPenny's green clothing line which, in terms of selection, was quite good. Now most clothing items reflect the JCPenny-style of clothing. So, if you already shop at JCPenny, now you can go green.

What's up with the small sizes with green clothes? JCPenny, like most green retailers, hates x-large sizes.
