Do you really need a large SUV?

Do you really need a large SUV, or do you just want it?

"Thus my point isn't that people shouldn't be allowed to buy whatever vehicle they want," states Karl on Cars yesterday morning. "My point is that you should be honest about your lifestyle and fully recognize when you really need a large, utilitarian vehicle and when you simply want one. For example, do I need a Ford GT? Nobody needs a Ford GT! However, I'm fully ready to admit I simply wanted one, functionality and earth-saving desires be damned. I'm not sure how many SUV drivers really need one, but I fear many of these folks aren't ready to admit they simply want one.

And at this point I have to add what really kills me is when these same folks, sitting in the cabin of their 6,000-pound SUVs/Crossovers/full-size trucks that they don't really need, claim to be earth conscious and/or scream "No blood for oil!" or "We need to stop being held hostage by our energy policies that subjugate us to Middle East countries."

Whatever folks."

Facial hair and sex appeal- Rate your beard

I hate shaving, so I've been growing out my beard longer and longer in-between shaves.

Now, however, my lover is warning me that I'll be cut off if I don't shave, or at least trim my beard.

What should I do? Obviously, I'll shave. Still, I've noticed some ladies really are attracted by facial hair. Does your girlfriend or wife like your beard?

A great place to go shopping for your next girlfriend?

I had to stop by Target yesterday, and I was shocked by how many women, but how few men or kids, were at Target at 2:00 PM in the afternoon. Since women love shopping, maybe all this love is a good place find a girlfriend, or at least try to find a girlfriend?

Have you ever picked up or been picked up at Target? Or, maybe I should rephrase that. Ladies, has anyone ever tried to pick you up at Target?

So, I had to pick up some socks and shoes in Old Town Pasadena. Before catching the goldline back home, I thought I'd stop by the 35er and have a quick 3 with Deb, the bartender.

I ordered a Guinness, which I haven't done in a while, and I was reminded of why Deb is such a cool bartender. Check out the guinness heart. Now that's a bartender. Oh yeah, and I had 3 Irish car bombs.

I was forced to watch the Oscars yesterday. OK, it was only for 10 minutes or so, then I was kicked out of the TV room for being "too negative". How can anyone be too negative about anything to do with celebrity and Hollywood?

Don't get me wrong. There some cool people in Hollywood, some. But is there a group of people in the world that thinks of themselves as more important - without merit - than those in Hollywood, especially those at the Oscars?

You CAN'T see ONCE just Once!

The movie ONCE

One of the few good things to come of being sick for the last month was that I was able to see the movie ONCE.

I knew nothing about this movie, but I was mesmerized with the movie as soon as the opening song Say It To Me Now started.

Geneva: Being sick sucks!

I missed going to Geneva!

I've been sick for almost a month. It started out simple and progressed to 24 hour bed rest. I'm just starting to recuperate, but it'll be weeks before I'm fully recovered. This sickness literally sucked the life right out of me and punched me into a downward spiral of depression that felt like death.
