Should governments be able to ban smoking in condos?

Big brother telling you what to do in a condo you bought and paid for?

The Belmont City Council voted to ban smoking in multi-unit, multi-story residences. Thus, even if you own your condo, but share a floor with another, you are not allowed to smoke - almost makes me want to start smoking again just in protest.

Sure, apartments and condos should have the right to be smoke free, but those decisions should be made by property owners, not the government.
