Rating Gordon Biersch

One of my favorite Pasadena watering holes

I've been a regular at Gordon Biersch in the past, though I haven't been here so much lately.

In Pasadena, Gordon Biersch is rather hidden, which is why I like this Gordon Biersch so much - the bar stays relatively uncrowded. Sure, on a Friday night, this play can get quite packed, but it's not packed right now - just the way I like it.

Aside from the bar, the outdoor patio is simply, magnifico.

In terms of the food, some things are better than others. I avoid the pizza, for example; however, most of the appetizers are really good, especially the tapas and the Southwestern egg rolls. All the sandwiches and burgers are also very good. In terms of steak, just get the basic sirloin, it's simply better than the more expensive cuts they offer.

Key pointers for Gordon Biersch in Pasadena: 1.) If you are with a group and the weather is nice, choose the patio, and 2.) Join the Passport Rewards program. It's worth well worth it.
