Rate the California Pizza Kitchen - Pasadena

Have you eaten at California Pizza Kitchen?

Stopped by California Pizza Kitchen for lunch, and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed.

Usually, I'm a fan of CPK, but I have had problems at the Pasadena location - I prefer the Burbank location. It just seems that the waiters always have more tables than they can handle at the Pasadena store. For instance, my waiter had 4 tables in one spot and several more on the other side of the store. There is just no way any server can provide quality service in such circumstances, and this has happened the last two times I've visited this location, so it seems to be the norm.

Even worse, the pizza crust on all 3 pizzas served to my table were slightly burnt. My guess is that they stayed under the hot light too long. Regardless, I was disappointed, although, aside from the crust, my pizza was good. This visit was the first time that I tried one of CPK's thin crust pizzas, which I'll definitely try again - at the Burbank or Downtown store. And, of course, I always get the avocado egg rolls.

I've tried other appetizers, but the avocado egg rolls are easily my favorite. The salads and pastas are just not on my wish list. If I wanted either, I know of better places to dine.
