A dog friendly hotel

I checked into the Sandcastle Inn last night. Located in Pismo Beach, California, a very dog-friendly town, the Sandcastle is one of the few dog friendly hotels in Pismo, and its located right on the beach.

Stii, I've nevernstayed in a dog friendly hotel before, and I was a little worried about the quality of the room. Immediately, my concerns were confirmed. The room had an overpowering urine smell.

A call to the front desk quickly brought a maintence person with some sort of odor neutralizer. We left the room for about 20 minutes, but when we returned, the smell had only slightly improved.

After another call to the front desk we were immediately moved to another room - a room with a much nicer bathroom as well.

The location of the Sandcastle is great. The first room we were in was not as nice as the second floor room to which we were moved.

There is no room service, but the complimentary breakfast was fine, especially the waffles.

I would return to the Sandcastle Inn, but I would inquire about the room before finalizing my reservation. Does it have an updated bathroom, for example, would be one thing i'd need to know. Also, on this trip the customer service was very good.
