1900% beer tax - Rate the punishment

I'll never move to Oregon

"Five Oregon state lawmakers want to impose a hefty tax on beer and have introduced a bill that brewers say would cripple them.

Four Portland legislators joined a Springfield senator to introduce Oregon House Bill 2461, which would impose a $49.61 tax on each barrel of beer produced by Oregon brewers."

That would mean, according to kgw.com, that a pint of beer would increase from $4.50 to $6.00.

Are you kidding me? This is the kind of mentality that represents the average Oregon voter?

I hope not, and I hope voters let these politicians know it.

So, what would be a good punishment for this lunacy?

Endless phone calls or letters? Protests outside their office? A beer day? Some kind of planned beer toast? Hey, I like that one.

I might have to design a YTsWorld feature or design based on this story.

I really like the beer toast. Say you made a certain date and time a toast. Have beer drinkers in every bar and restaurant - it has to be some place that serves beer - and toast.

That's be a perfect fit for YTsWorld.
