Seriously? What is going on in Congress?

What was President Obama thinking when he gave control of the stimulus bill writing to Nancy Pelosi?

Before taking office, Obama seemed the brave, new leader. The leader of change.

Shouldn't the first thing on the agenda have been a stimulus package?

Nuts and bolts kind of stuff. Seriously transparent kinds of stuff. Don't give Republicans a chance to say no.

STD prevention?

This is your first major piece of legislation. Make it a fricken home run.

Get Republicans on board the momentum boat right from the get go.

Change.

What the hell was Pelosi thinking? This isn't the time for a political power trip.

Sure Republicans are playing politics to an extent, but, really, this isn't a very good bill. Any logical person can't really blame Republicans for opposing pieces of this bill.

Save jobs. Create jobs. Taxes.

Nothing else should have been in this bill as nothing else can help stimulate the economy right now.

Yes, the stimulus bill is better than nothing and it has to get passed, but this bill shows a real lack of leadership in Congress, particularly in the House.
