A special year in high school football

Friday night lights. The smell of the grass. The roar of the crowd. I remember high school football as if it were yesterday sometimes. Instead, it was almost 20 years ago that I was practicing for my final high school football season.

We didn't accomplish much my senior year. We won more games than in the previous season, but not as many as expected. In fact, the season was a disappointment as we failed to live up to expectations. Yet, bouncing back from failure is sometimes the greatest gift of all.
