Time for a fat tax. Rate the idea

Obesity crushing America's health
We're a nation of fat people. And, while politicians can speak about how national health care is going to save America, it's hard not to wonder if the real problem killing America's health care is the unhealthy habits of Americans.

Thus, the Governor of New York is calling for a fat tax. Actually, it's a tax on bad foods, such as sugar-filled drinks, like soda.

What do you think? Is it time to create a fat tax, much like a cigarette tax, on foods that are literally killing not only our health care system, but we the people?

Then, where does this stop? Whom becomes the health tsar, determining what should be taxed and what shouldn't be taxed?

Putting a tax on smoking has been a good idea. On things like soda, fast food, etc., this is a great idea, not just for health care, but for the health of the planet since the meat industry causes a massive amount of global warming.
