CHOKE Review - Rate the book Choke

Who cares. Screw the movie. The novel Choke is worthy of a read on its own right. In fact, it's a kick ass book if you're tired of the all Hollywood bullshit that permeates the life of the average American.

And that is exactly what Choke is all about. Give up the bullshit.Â

All of us are just so full of it. We're hip-hoppers, we're retro, we're hippies - we all have some goddamned label we put on ourselves, pretenders. Bull. You're just you. All your faults. All the stupid things you do. It's you. Stop feeling so ashamed about it because we're all full of it.

Accept who you are. That doesn't mean you can't change, but change because its good for you, not because it helps you fit into some group of posers.

Anyway, that's my take on Chuck Palahniuk's book CHOKE. Read it before the movie destroys it.

Also, in my opinion. This is not a book that the average chick will like. Does it bother you when I say chick? Then you won't like this book.

BTW - I'm never putting down the toilet seat again!
