Tani Restaurant in Pasadena Rating
October 6th, 2008
Finding a sushi niche in Pasadena is hard It's not easy being a sushi restaurant in Old Town Pasadena. They are everywhere. Still, one of my favorites is becoming Tani Restaurant. It's not that it has the best sushi in Old Town, I'm not sure that it does. However, the few times that I've gone to Tani, it has provided some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. And, once they begin to recognize you at Tani's, you're like family. Now, in the past, some of my guests have complained about the non-sushi items, such as the teriyaki beef or chicken. I don't eat these things. I go to a sushi restaurant for one thing and one thing only, fish. The sushi is very good, and the prices are very fair for this area. What more do you need? Additionally, the decor is quite charming and Zen-like. After sushi, I love to just sit and drink tea, and my usual server, Yuri, is more than happy to keep filling my cup. And if you need a quiet, zen lunch, the outdoor patio in back is ideal. But, again, it is the customer service that makes this place stand out. At Tani's you're a close friend, not a customer, and that alone makes Tani's worth a visit. Visited Tani's restaurant recently? Rate Tani's Restaurant in Old Town Pasadena
