Green deodorants reviewed - Rate Yours

Good for your skin, good for the environment.

So, I've been testing different natural, green deodorants for a very long time.

As luck would have it, I wear green deodorant not because I'm a green fanatic, but because I have no choice. Conventional deodorants are just too harsh on my sensitive skin.

For a long time, I've worn Tom's of Maine's natural unscented deodorant stick, but I've never been completely satisfied with this product. Mostly, it's a bit waxy and that wax sticks in the underarm in a bit of an uncomfortable fashion. As of my test, Tom's has added some new and improved deodorants, which I hope to try soon.

So, when I saw Herbal Clear's natural deodorant stick, I had to give it a try, but I like this product even less. It ends up feeling less waxy than Tom's, but by far more sticky. It also has a strange scent, especially as you perspire. Now, the only scent that I could find was clear aloe fresh. Perhaps, another scent - which I haven't found locally yet, though they are available online - would be better. Still, the stickiness has been annoying.

About a month ago I happened to find Lafe's Hemp Oil Deodorant, and it has quickly become my favorite. It's a roll on liquid, so that waxy, sticky feeling is gone. Equally as important, I stay fresh smelling!
