There have been some great
games so far, but maybe the best game in the opening weekend
of the college football season will be this Monday when
Florida State and Miami get it going.
I thought both the Notre
Dame / Georgia Tech and the California / Tennessee games
were the most interesting games in opening weekend.
While I expected Tennessee
to upset the Golden Bears, I never thought it would be such
a lopsided game.
On the other hand, I
expected more of Notre Dame, although the 'Might Quinn'
Brady played up to expectations.
As for great plays, I think
the best catch of the season so far was made by a Louisana
Tech receiver. On the other hand, the best play that didn't
count was the fumble recovery made by Wisconsin against
Bowling Green - the most heads up play I can remember in
recent years. Too bad the refs blew the call.
