| I think it started
in the Denver v. New England Patriot game on the pass
interference call, but every NFL playoff game this weekend
seemed to have an unbelievable call.
Then there was the interception
in the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis
Colts, a game which did not live up to the hype. But the
interception that wasn't seemed like a horribly blown call.
Just when you thought it was
done, came the fumble for a touchdown that wasn't in the Bears
and Panthers game.
In each of these games were
also numerous pass interference calls that weren't called.
Now, I
don't want to sound like I think the officiating was bad,
because I have officiated football games before, and it's easy
to miss things. In hindsight and on replay everything seems so
obvious, but in real time, officiating isn't so easy.
Still, most of these bad calls, or
no-calls, often came at critical times in each game. Ironically,
it seemed many of these questionable calls came at times when
one team was set to take control of the game, and then
officiating took over.
Then came the Super Bowl. How
can every blown call go against the same team? What's wrong with
NFL officiating?
Or maybe it was just me. What
did you think of the referees and officiating in this year's NFL
playoff games and the Super Bowl?
