When
I saw the onside kick live, I just couldn't see what happened;
however, on replay there was no question: Oregon touched the
ball first before the ball went 10 yards. That was obvious on
replay. Both ABC announcers saw it the same way, even
ex-Oregon Duck, Dan Fouts.
Then the official not only
said the play would stand as called, but that Oklahoma touched
the ball first. Excuse me? What video did the officials watch?
Do they have an angle the rest of America doesn't?
If the officials announced
that Oregon had touched the ball first, but the ball had gone
10 yards before contact, then maybe I could have bought that,
but that isn't what the officials said.
Then a couple of plays later,
on an obvious tipped pass, the officials AGAIN blew the
call???????
What is the point of instant
replay? I am a huge college football fan. I watch as many
games as possible simply because I love to watch the games,
but I am so angry right now. How can you call it anything but
FIXED? Were the officials just caught up in the emotion of the
game and wanted to help Oregon?
Someone should do some
research into how much money would have been lost by Vegas,
etc. if Oklahoma had won.
Pathetic. This is no rip on
Oregon. They can't control the refs., but those refs doing
replay should be fired immediately.
Disgusting.
