They
might not be very good for you, but energy drinks are

Energy drinks are hot, yet
experts are worried that these drinks are going to hook kids on
a "unhealthy jolt-and-crash cycle" (more).
Do you drink energy drinks,
such as Red Bull or Monster? Do you ever experience a
jolt-and-crash? Is that why you consume these energy drinks in
the first place, for the buzz?
The more experts warn on energy
drinks, the more energy drinks seem to hit the market. More than
500 energy drinks are now in the works, led by Red Bull, Monster
and Rockstar, and more than 31 percent of teenagers are now
drinking these energy drinks.
Some energy drinking teens are
even consuming large quantities of these energy drinks to
achieve a kind-of high. According to experts these drinks "can
cause rapid heartbeat, and numbness and tingling in the hands
and feet." Sometimes energy drinks are being combined with
Nodoz pills to intensify the experience that has led to E.R.
visits for some teens.
